How to Brew
To get the most out of your Bingdao Raw Pu-erh, we recommend the traditional Gongfu brewing method, but it also works beautifully in a simple mug.
Gongfu Style (Recommended)
- Ratio: 1 mini brick (10g) to 150ml-200ml of water. (You can break the brick in half if your teapot is small).
- Temperature: 95°C - 100°C (205°F - 212°F).
- Rinse: Flash rinse the tea for 5 seconds and discard the water to awaken the leaves.
- Steeping: Steep for 10-15 seconds for the first 3 infusions. Add 5-10 seconds for each subsequent steep. This premium ancient tree tea can yield 10+ delicious infusions!
Office / Mug Style
Drop half or a whole mini brick into your mug. Add hot water (95°C/205°F) and let it steep for 2-3 minutes. Add more water as you drink.
How to Store Your Pu-erh
Pu-erh tea is a "living tea" that improves with age. To allow this young tea to age beautifully over the years, please follow these dry storage guidelines:
- Container: Store in unglazed clay jars (Yixing or purple clay) or breathable kraft paper bags.
- Environment: Keep in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place (e.g., above the ground floor, on a high shelf in a study or near a wardrobe).
- Avoid: Keep away from direct sunlight, strong odors, direct AC airflow, or floor heating.
- Seasonal Care: During the rainy or humid season, seal the bag/jar slightly to prevent moisture damage. Once the dry season returns, open the lid slightly to allow the tea to breathe.
